See below for a list of examples of successes for America in these first six months: Six Months of America First --Today at the White House, Vice President Pence and HHS Secretary Tom Price met with conservative leaders of citizens groups who have publicly pledged to support next week’s Motion to Proceed (MTP) to the healthcare bill in the Senate to start debate on legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare. Read it here: Remarks TIMELY REQUESTS We are pressing strongly ahead on repealing as much of Obamacare as possible and relieving millions of Americans from the burdens of that onerous law. As soon as this coming Tuesday the 25th, Congress could move to proceed to the House-passed healthcare bill and replace it with the text of the 2015/2016 Obamacare repeal reconciliation bill, which Congress passed but President Obama vetoed. If you have not already done so (…and thank you to those who have!), we’d be grateful if you could publicly support the motion to proceed (MTP) to the healthcare bill in the Senate—as well as support the 2015 bill itself. As Vice President Pence said this week, “Inaction is not an option.” Please publicly push for tax reform that is simpler and fairer, that provides middle-class tax relief, and that spurs robust economic growth and job creation.
