Our relevance will enhance if we focus on policies, not specific candidates, even if they are 100% supportive of our priority issues.  There are three initial policies which we believe could/should be a priority, and we’d like to open the discussion on these – welcoming others and considering if 3 is too many, etc. These three are:
  1. School choice – see the attached Wall Street Journal article on how this issue impacted the FL governor’s race outcome. We would be pro-school choice, not pro-DeSantis.
  2. Right to Life
  3. 2nd amendment
We’ll discuss these toward an agreement on our priorities. Additionally, In this meeting:
  • we’ll discuss the “look” of success ….. and work backwards to sketch out critical elements & a timetable
  • identify other individuals who would be attracted to this effort……perhaps assign recruiters.
  • Identify groups that might collaborate with us……….being sensitive to their goal(s) and the risk of taking them off target.  We should be easily complimentary and not confuse other efforts.
  • Discuss future meetings: dates & locations.  Also, the financing of these meetings, which is currently underwritten, but not in perpetuity
